Last night, Robbie copied us for the first time.
I should clarify...he copied Daddy. Daddy stuck out his tongue and Robbie stuck out his tongue. It happened more than once, so it can't be coincidence.
But would he copy his mother? Of course not.
But really, if it's an indication of things to come, I think I'd rather he preferred to copy his father...
Next, we're hoping for a smile.

Recording it Now...
...because it may not ever happen again.
Currently, all 3 children are down for a nap/quiet time. That's right. AT THE SAME TIME.
Since the planets are not likely to align this way again, I thought I better write it down so I won't be tempted to think it was all just a dream.
What ever will I do?
You guessed it...fold the 7 loads of laundry that have been piling up over the last couple days. Exciting, I know.
But seriously, can there be any more laundry?

Photo Friday-Close Encounters
I really need to be good about Photo Friday, especially since Fridays mark the weeks of young Robert's life. I forgot to post last Friday, which was his 4 week old marker. I almost forgot to get a picture of him, but at the last minute I remembered...I think I took 3. This one is the best...
Robbie at 4 weeks These close-ups were taken today. You can see that the girls are usually into having their pictures taken. They really enjoy having their picture taken with their brother. (Tune in later this week for those pictures. I promise they will be up. PROMISE!)
Padyn...never shy for the camera...Kate...she has a great smile, doesn't she?Baby Robbie...I have a few others, but really, they all look like this. Here he is at 5 weeks...Here are the "warm-up" shots of the girls...almost smiling, almost comfortable with the fat lens right up in their face...but not quite. This is a nice "not quite" shot as well. His mouth is all deformed from the paci and you can see the skin sloughing off his forehead if you look closely enough...NICE.
Happy Friday!

Boy Cousins
My nephew, Trevor, and "Baby Wobbie." Trevor loves his baby cousin. When we got to visit with Bella and Trevor last week, Trevor kept repeating his cousin's name over and over again. Eventually "Babt Wobbie" became "My Baby Wobbie."
Sorry, Trev. Someday Robert might want to come home with you. But not yet.

Photo Saturday and A Forgotten Update
I don't know how I forgot to post this, but here it is now. See that lovely bandage on Kate's forehead? That happened two weeks ago. She and Padyn were playing in a wagon with collapsible sides. She liked undoing the sides. Well, she soon learned she should not lean against the side while unhooking it. Flat on her face on the concrete did she land. Lots of blood...gotta love those head wounds.
I didn't want to take my one week old baby the emergency room, so Daddy and Mimi went instead. Fortunately, it only required glue and 48 hours of not bathing. This is what it looks like today. Nice face...she really didn't want me to take her picture. Robert is 3 weeks old now. Here's what he looks like these days. Not much different from the day he was born, except a bit paler. And his eyes stay open longer. Makes it easier gaze at their yellowish tinge that way.

Updates
I know it's been a number of days since I posted anything, so I thought I'd take a few minutes to type a photo-free post highlighting some of the things we've been up to this week...I'm tired, so I'm sure it won't be very long or detailed. Just the bullets, please.
* As of last Sunday night, we are living in the new house, and for not having a kitchen and only having one bathroom, I would say it's going very well. Daddy doesn't think he is getting as much done with us here, but I'm so glad to not be making the 30 minute drive each way every day that it's worth the cost.
* We do miss Auntie, though. But I think she's happy to have her house and TV back.
* Padyn told her teacher that we had moved into our new house, but that (and I quote), "It's not very organized." Always the diplomat.
* I wouldn't say we are really "moved in." Most of the stuff we own is still in storage. But we have most of our furniture with us. There are a few more boxes I have to go look for...mainly baby stuff. We can't find the swing. Must find the swing.
* I haven't written a single thank you note yet. So, if you are one of my wonderful friends or family member who sent me boy clothes or a gift or brought us a meal, THANK YOU. I am grateful, even if I can't show it properly.
* Robert was 6 pounds, 8 ounces at his appointment on Monday. At the rate he's going, he's gaining about 5 ounces a week.
* Last night was the first time he slept in his bassinet for the entire night. No, he didn't sleep through night...he's too young for that. I mean he didn't sleep with me in my bed. Hopefully this is a trend that will continue.
* His favorite place to sleep is still anyone's chest.
* Nursing is going fine and he's pooping up a storm. His eyes are still a bit yellow, but the jaundice is clearing up.
* Padyn and Kate love holding their baby brother. Kate is very concerned about when he will walk and when he will have teeth. The no teeth thing really confuses her.
* Kate also seems to be confused about our housing situation. She keeps talking about when we move out of our new house, we will move back to Auntie's. I don't know how Auntie feels about that...
* I'm tired, Daddy's tired, and because we don't have proper curtains up yet, the girls are getting up too early and they are tired. I think Robbie's the only well rested one in our family.
* And because I'm tired, that's all for now.

Photo Friday-Life in a Fog
What? It's Friday already? It seems like it was Friday just yesterday. Since I can't get my act together to take any pictures today, here's a random assortment from the week.
Robert Katelyn
PadynOh, another piece of news. We are moving into our house this weekend. Here's what it looks like with no furniture...didn't the hardwood floors come out fabulously? Daddy worked really hard on those...
