Well, it happened. Padyn started asking something that all preschool mommies dread. What is it you ask?
Why?
Why?
WHY?!?!
After almost EVERYTHING that I say. E-VER-E-THING.
As in...
Mommy: Padyn, don't stand on that.
Padyn: Why?
Padyn: I want to watch Sesame Street.
Mommy: You can't, baby. It's not on right now.
Padyn: Why?
Mommy: Take your shoes off before you climb into your bed.
Padyn: Why?
Padyn: What's dat boy doing, Mommy?
Mommy: Riding his bike.
Padyn: Why?
Mommy: Padyn, it's time to go home and take a nap.
Padyn: Why, why, why?
Somebody please save me.

Oh NO! I dread this as well. Coley's not quite there yet. She did answer a question today with "because". So we are on our way, I know it.
The Dreaded Why Stage.
I'm feelin' ya.
I used wondered why my mom would so often answer with "Because I said so." I don't wonder any more.

And then it's "What's that?" to EVERYTHING. And then "What are you doing, Mama?" and even if you tell her, five minutes later she asks again, while you're doing the SAME THING as before. Oh yeah, it gets better.
