Mimi and Grandpa stopped by last night on their way home from the airport. They've been "trailering" in the great nation of Canada for the last month, so the girls haven't seen them for a while.
Kate knows Grandpa by his picture. Almost every time we pass his picture in the hallway, she calls out, "Gapa!" But even though Mimi is in the picture, and we tell her who it is, she has never said Mimi. Until this morning.
Mimi has a pair of shoes that she leaves here. Last night when they left, she left them by the front door. This morning Kate went over, picked them up, brought them to me and said, "MIMI! Mimi shoo!"
At least she can recognize Mimi's shoe.
