Musical Chaos

I just wanted to give you insight into how I spend my evenings when Joel is gone...

On television is the Madonna: The Confessions Tour. I secretly love Madonna even though I haven't bought an album since the Blonde Ambition era. But seriously? Don't even try to pretend you play the guitar, Madonna, when you only know two chords. It doesn't make you look like the bada** you think it does. Stick to singing. And dancing. And showing off your buff arms.

On the computer I'm listening to songs on the Zach Braff playlist because I also secretly love him. I enjoy most of the music he helps get on Scrubs and in his films. Garden State should be in my list of favorite movies in my profile. I don't think it is, but it should be. (But, Zach. Post something current on your blog. Please. A month without a post? Lame.) I just bought the soundtrack from The Last Kiss even though I haven't seen the movie yet. Maybe I will love it just that much more once I finally get to see it.

Now I'm going to go listen to other artists I've never heard of and probably buy a few more songs. I LOVE iTunes. And my iPod. And I'm going to continue being amazed at how Madonna can sing AND dance without seeming to lose her breath.

Did I mention I'm also drinking wine, picking out Christmas presents for Katelyn and trying to fold laundry? It's a rough night.

I'm a little scared of you now that I know you're a closet Madonna fan. However, you can still be my friend since you think Zach Braff is cool! When is Scrubs coming back?

I don't know, but I am missing my weekly Scrubs fix. Good thing I've got it on Netflix.

NICE TO KNOW YOU DO HAVE SOME 'ME' TIME...ALTHOUGH I'M NOT SO SURE ABOUT THE FOLDING LAUNDRY BIT...I HOPE ALL THOSE OTHER MOMMIES OUT THERE DO THE SAME THING...BUT BE SURE TO GET RID OF DADDY FIRST!!

Sounds like a good night. We watched some of the Madonna thing too and I thought "Madonna plays GUITAR?" And then--oh, ok. But yeah, the dancing and singing and breath-keeping? That's a lot of decades of practice. Wow.

I gotta go check out The Last Kiss soundtrack now. I totally love zachbraff.com's playlist thingy in the sidebar. And I have the Garden State and Scrubs soundtracks too. I love them and would have never heard of most of the bands otherwise.

Folding the laundry, though? I'll wait on that. The piles aren't lined up down the hallway enough yet for it to be TOTALLY fun.

I wasn't as impressed with the Garden STate and Scrubs soundtracks, but I'll go give them another listen since you like them. You know me. I so bend to peer pressure.

Ok, I am embarassed to say this, but my brother and I watched the Madonna concert as well. I said the same things about the guitar, totally lame. But my brother and I agreed that her back up dancers are the hardest working back up dancers on the planet. That Jump song when the guys were throwing themselves through the bars was insane!

Oh my gosh-the Jump guys were AMAZING! Those dancers are amazing. Totally the best ever.
